The 3 Stages of a Set
Betting Stage
Players has to bets between 7 and 13, or pass.
When players bet, they are actually betting that their team will be able to win at least that number of hands (tricks).
A player who wants to bet has to beat the highest bet value. If he/she can't, then he/she has to pass.
The last player (one with the highest bet) picks the Trump suit, i.e the TARNEEB.
Playing Stage
The player who just picked the Tarneeb suit starts the first round.
The player who wins a round starts the next round.
After a player plays a card, the player on his right has to play a card of the same suit if he can. If he's out of that suit, then he can play a card of any other suit.
For any round, if all the played cards are of the same suit, the player who played the highest card wins that round. Any card of a different suit (other than the Tarneeb) is worthless in this case, and cannot win the round.
If there are cards of the Tarneeb suit on the table, the player who played the highest Tarneeb wins.
Score-Counting Stage
Each team (2 players) share one score count.
If the betting team gets at least his bet count in hands, they win that set. Their score is increased by the number of hands they won. The other team gets nothing in this case.
If the betting team couldn't reach his bet value, their bet value is subtracted from their total score, and the other team's achieved hands are added to their score.
